Author & Punisher is the project of Tristan Shone, a one‑man band that builds custom “Drone Machines” — machines, controllers, and speakers — to create dense industrial soundscapes that blend automation, robotics, and mechanical textures.

In 2024 A&P marked two decades of inventing and performing; 2025 will bring a new full-length on Relapse Records and a renewed emphasis on visceral live ritual. Past touring partners include TOOL, HEALTH, Perturbator, and Neurosis.
