Texas guitarist David Grissom brings his seasoned roots-rock and blues-influenced playing to The Saxon Pub. Grissom has toured and recorded with Buddy Guy, John Mellencamp, Joe Ely, Storyville, The Allman Brothers Band, the Dixie Chicks and more; his songs have been recorded by John Mayall, Rita Coolidge, Trisha Yearwood and others. Based in Austin since 1983, Grissom’s career includes stints with Joe Ely and John Mellencamp, co-founding Storyville, touring with the Dixie Chicks, session work on multiple Buddy Guy records, and several solo releases including Trio Live 2020.

Expect a guitar-forward set featuring originals and select covers, drawn from his solo work and decades as a sought-after sideman. The performance runs roughly 90 minutes. See the venue event page for any updates or venue policies.
