AJS Presents: The Indestructible Now!

Live taping and listening-room concert: AJS Presents: The Indestructible Now! Featuring Joe Roddy (piano), Damien Valenzuela (saxophones), Danny Kerner (guitar), Jesse Ebaugh (double bass), Jack Montesinos (double bass), Steve Mankenberg (drums) and Nico Léophonte (drums/producer).

The Indestructible Now! brings together members of the Sahara Quartet and the Eternal Now! 5tet. The two groups recorded compositions and improvisations at David Boyle’s Church House in February 2025; a release titled Vox Cordis is slated for spring 2026. Members of these ensembles are active on the Austin scene across genres including post-bop, funk and country/blues.
