Tomar Williams began singing lead on the Chitlin’ Circuit with his family band in the late 1980s and returned to fronting his own group in 2015. Tomar & The FCs have become one of Austin’s most acclaimed live acts, with performances at the Continental Club, C-Boys, Antone’s, and festivals including ACL Music Festival, Old Settlers, SXSW, and Bonnaroo. Their most recent album, Soul Searching, was released on Tenwick Records in February 2025.
