Collin Shook is a jazz pianist and composer, founder of Monks Jazz. After studying and performing across Texas and the Southwest, he established Monks as a pop-up listening-room concept in East Austin and later transitioned to a permanent space where he has produced hundreds of live taping concerts. His recordings include Derivatives (2012) and The Desert (2016).
Venue: Monks Jazz Club — 310 E Saint Elmo Road, Austin, TX 78745. Doors at 7:45 PM; show at 8:00 PM. The event is BYOB; cold still and sparkling water will be available for purchase. Ice, wine keys, and 9 oz cups will be provided as needed.
