Høly River
Their music carries a message of reconnection with the earth, blending ethereal pop soundscapes, transcendent melodies, and environmental activism. Laney and Jameson perform as a DIY duo whose shows range from large festival stages to backyard fire pits. The band’s work includes long-term campaigns to protect watersheds and oppose pipeline expansion, and they are founders of Fonticello Food Forest in Richmond, VA.
Samara Jade
A forest-frolicking folk troubadour whose style—self-described as “Philosopholk”—mixes earthy grooves, soul-soaked vocals, and thoughtful lyrics. Drawing on jazz, blues, Appalachian roots, and nature-based traditions, Samara leads song circles and retreats and offers performances that emphasize community, healing, and voice.
