The Blues Specialists are an Austin-based Texas jump blues band founded by Austin blues legends TD Bell and Erbie Bowser. The current lineup includes original bandmember and bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), and Isaac Bratchett (drums). Their sound blends traditional Texas jump blues with touches of jazz, drawing on the influence of T-Bone Walker.
