The Blues Specialists

The Blues Specialists are an Austin, TX–based band founded by two local blues legends, TD Bell and Erbie Bowser. The group has been active for more than three decades and has played concerts, special events, private parties, weddings and clubs across the US and abroad. Current lineup includes original member and bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar) and Isaac Bratchett (drums).

Expect traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz — music rooted in the T-Bone Walker tradition that influenced TD Bell. Friday Happy Hour since January 1988.
