The Blues Specialists

The Blues Specialists perform traditional Texas jump blues with a tinge of jazz at The Continental Club. No cover — 21+ only. Show time: 6:30 PM–8:00 PM (America/Chicago).

Founded from the legacy of Austin blues figures TD Bell and Erbie Bowser, the band has been active for decades and has played concerts, special events, private parties, weddings, and clubs across the U.S. and abroad. Current lineup: Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), and Isaac Bratchett (drums). Their sound is rooted in the jump-blues tradition influenced by T-Bone Walker.
