The Blues Specialists are an Austin-based band formed by descendants of local blues legends TD Bell and Erbie Bowser. The group’s sound is traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz, rooted in the T-Bone Walker tradition.

Current lineup: Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), Isaac Bratchett (drums). The band has performed concerts, special events, private parties, weddings, and clubs across the U.S. and abroad. Friday Happy Hour since January 1988.
