The Blues Specialists are an Austin-based band formed by blues veterans TD Bell and Erbie Bowser. Active for over three decades, the group performs traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz, drawing on influences like T-Bone Walker. Current members include Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), and Isaac Bratchett (drums). Friday Happy Hour residency since January 1988.
