The Renowned Renaissance Faire

The Renowned Renaissance Faire — a medieval takeover of The Far Out Lounge during SXSW week. Expect a full day of live music, performance, sword fighting, medieval fashion, food, and interactive mayhem.

When: Sunday, March 15 — Noon to 10:00 PM
Where: The Far Out Lounge, Austin, TX

Festival highlights:

• Live music and performances from Juni, Shiv, SexPop, Foam, Big Wy’s Brass Band, J’cuuzi, BabiDoll, Bridgette Bandit and others
• Full-contact sword fighting duels from Austin Blood Guard presented as a cinematic spectacle
• Medieval-inspired fashions, cosplay, and a Renaissance Runway show programmed by local designers
• Faire games and sanctioned antics — tomato throwing, hobby-horse jousting, medieval crafts, roaming characters
• Food and drink: mead, ale, turkey legs and festival fare
