The Soul Supporters perform early soul, R&B, and blues with a sparse rhythm section, stinging guitar, and gospel- and blues-tinged harmony vocals. Fronted by Lauren Cervantes and Angela Miller, the band blends retro-soul influences (The Ikettes, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Ruth Brown) with tradition-inspired originals for a powerful live set.
