Nikki DaVaughn is an Austin-based queer writer, storyteller, performer, and host of the City Cast Austin podcast. A champion of body positivity, she founded Fat Bottom Cabaret and co-produces the Midnight Menagerie, a collective of queer, POC performers. A lifelong East Austin native, DaVaughn is known as a “foul-mouthed emcee” and “Queen of Shenanigry,” and is active across the Austin arts scene.

The Soul Supporters play early soul, R&B, and blues with a sparse rhythm section, stinging guitar, and gospel-tinged vocal harmonies. Singers Lauren Cervantes and Angela Miller channel Austin blues traditions while delivering powerful harmonies and a mix of retro-soul and tradition-inspired originals.
