Snorkeler — the solo indie-rock project of Canadian-born, Nashvillian Curtis Heimburger — headlines Chess Club in Austin. Built on tight grooves and distorted garage-rock guitars, Snorkeler pairs deceptively simple, sharp lyrics with a charged delivery that moves from soaring exhalations to bitter sarcasm. The songs explore the uncomfortable moments of being human: the frustration of never quite arriving, friendships that fade, and the stubborn resilience needed to keep chasing something bigger.
