Mike Mattison is a singer-songwriter and founding member of the blues/roots group Scrapomatic. He spent more than two decades as a vocalist with the Tedeschi Trucks Band and the Derek Trucks Band, co-writing signature tunes including “Midnight In Harlem,” which has earned millions of streams. Mattison is also the co-author of Poetic Song Verse: Blues-based Music and Poetry (University Press of Mississippi, 2021).

On his third solo album Turn a Midnight Corner, Mattison is joined by players from Tedeschi Trucks Band and Scrapomatic. The record is imagined as the rediscovery of a fictional 1930s blues duo and showcases Mattison’s rootsy songwriting and storytelling.
