Barfield, The Tyrant brings its self-styled “Texas Funk” to The Continental Club for a late-night set. Expect a gritty, high-energy blend of country, blues, soul and rock’n’roll — think one part Cash, one part Clash, with touches of James Brown and Screamin’ Jay — performed by seasoned members of Austin’s music scene. The Tyrant is known for a funky, garage-soul sound and an engaging live show.
