Known as “Mr. Honky-Tonk Piano,” Earl Poole Ball blends showmanship, mirth, and musical magic with piano and vocal interpretations of classic honky-tonk, country blues, Delta rhythm boogie, Gulf Coast boogie-woogie, rockabilly, and hard-driving country rock. He played on Gram Parsons’ first country-rock album Safe at Home and recorded on The Byrds’ landmark Sweetheart of the Rodeo. His session work includes Merle Haggard, Glen Campbell, Linda Ronstadt, Buck Owens, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and many others.
