Julie Slim & Rendezvous

Live taping & listening-room concert featuring Julie Slim & Rendezvous. The ensemble includes Julie Slim (vocals), Shawn Ellison (piano), Shirley Johnson (accordion), Chris Jones (upright bass), and Joe McCreary (drums). Expect intimate, international-tinged jazz arrangements with revived early-20th-century standards and original songs by Shawn Ellison and Julie Slim.

Julie Slim is an Austin-based Lebanese–Palestinian–American vocalist and actress with deep roots in the local music and theater scene. She has performed with Layalina, the Austin Jazz Workshop, Viva Palestina Orchestra, and maintains ongoing residencies across Austin. Her band, Julie Slim & RendezVous, blends world and jazz influences to create a warm, community-focused listening experience.

Notes: This is a live taping; a whisper-policy will be enforced to preserve the recording. Cold still and sparkling water will be available for purchase. The event is BYOB (ice, wine keys, and 9oz cups provided).
