Kevin Russell (Shinyribs)

Kevin Russell (Shinyribs) brings a blend of Gulf Coast swamp pop, bayou R&B and handmade Texas songwriting to The Saxon Pub. Drawing on roots from Beaumont and Shreveport, Russell’s music alternates between full-band party grooves and intimate, storyteller-driven songs—this performance highlights material from his album Leaving Time, produced by David Beck.

Supported by bassist and co-producer Mason Hankamer, keyboardist Jonny Keys, drummer Dees Stribling and contributions from David Beck, expect warm, soulful arrangements and a relaxed, late-evening vibe: a backyard-jukehouse sound that’s equal parts honey, salt and heart.
