Born and raised in North Carolina, Tan and Sober Gentlemen blend Irish traditional tunes, Appalachian fiddle music, ballads, and pub songs into a high-energy sound they call “Irish-American hillbilly music.” Known for blazing tempos and rowdy live performances, the six-piece has toured the US and Ireland and played festivals including MerleFest, Bristol Rhythm & Roots, FloydFest, Electric Picnic, and the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
The band released Regressive Folk Music (2022) and a live album, Live at the Haw River Ballroom (2025).
Age policy: 18+. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Attendees under 21 will be subject to a $5 surcharge (cash at the door).
