The Blues Specialists

The Blues Specialists bring traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz to The Continental Club. The band — originally established by Austin blues figures TD Bell and Erbie Bowser — has been active for decades. Current lineup includes original bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), and Isaac Bratchett (drums).

When: May 22, 2026 • 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM. No cover. 21+ only. This is part of the venue’s long-running Friday Happy Hour series.
