The Blues Specialists are an Austin-based blues band formed by two local legends, TD Bell and Erbie Bowser. With a career spanning more than three decades, the group performs traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz. Current members include original bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), and Isaac Bratchett (drums). The band traces its roots to T-Bone Walker, a major influence on TD Bell.
