The Blues Specialists are an Austin, TX–based band founded by Austin blues legends TD Bell and Erbie Bowser. The current lineup includes original bandmember and bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), and Isaac Bratchett (drums). Expect traditional Texas jump blues with a tinge of jazz, rooted in the T-Bone Walker tradition.
