The Blues Specialists bring traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz to The Continental Club. Expect soulful harmonica and sax, swinging guitar and solid grooves rooted in the T-Bone Walker tradition.
The Blues Specialists were formed in Austin by blues veterans TD Bell and Erbie Bowser. The current lineup features original band member and bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar) and Isaac Bratchett (drums). The band has performed concerts, special events, private parties and clubs across the U.S. and abroad.
