The Blues Specialists

The Blues Specialists bring traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz to The Continental Club. Founded in Austin by blues legends TD Bell and Erbie Bowser, the band has been active for decades and performs concerts, special events, private parties, weddings and club dates across the US and abroad.

The current lineup includes original member and bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar) and Isaac Bratchett (drums). Their sound is rooted in T-Bone Walker-style blues and jump, reflecting the legacy of TD Bell.
