The Blues Specialists

The Blues Specialists bring traditional Texas jump blues with a touch of jazz to The Continental Club. Expect soulful vocals, harmonica, sax, organ, guitar and a swinging rhythm section playing songs influenced by T-Bone Walker and Austin blues traditions.

Details: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM (America/Chicago). No cover. 21+ only. Friday Happy Hour since January 1988.

The band was founded by Austin blues legends TD Bell and Erbie Bowser and has been active for decades. Current lineup includes original member/bandleader Mel Davis (vocals, harmonica, sax), Lawrence Bell (organ/bass), Rob Richardson (guitar), and Isaac Bratchett (drums).
