Despite their influences ranging across the world, The Point. are a band that could only have started in Austin. CAZAYOUX is led by South Louisiana native Forest Cazayoux and is a genre‑blurring collective rooted in rhythm and cultural fusion. After relocating to Austin in late 2017, Cazayoux drew from Louisiana roots—Cajun soul, swamp funk, second-line grooves—while absorbing West African rhythms and modern jazz from the city’s underground scene.
