Women in Jazz Association Present: Celebrating Austin Women in Jazz — a live taping and listening-room concert featuring an all-star ensemble of Austin’s finest women musicians.
Performers: Shawnda Birch & Pamela Hart (vocals), Lauryn Gould (saxophone), Peggy Stern (piano), Mercedes Solis (bass), Masumi Jones (drums), and Laura Mordecai (percussion). The program honors women’s artistry, leadership, and legacy in jazz during Women’s History Month.
This event is a live recording in an intimate listening room; seating is extremely limited and the performance is expected to sell out. A whisper policy will be enforced during the taping. Cold still and sparkling water will be available for purchase. This event is BYOB — ice, wine keys, and 9oz cups will be provided as needed.
